Dr. Huckabay’s Safety Protocol

Our Commitment to You!

Advanced Staff Training

Each member of our team has completed additional awareness and prevention programs to enhance their knowledge and preparedness. We are all in this together and we will never underestimate the importance of keeping a smile healthy.

Anti-Microbial Rinse

We will provide a solution called Peroxyl for you to rinse for one minute in order to reduce bacteria when you arrive in your patient room.

Virtual Waiting Room

In order to minimize contact with other patients, you will check in from your car, meet one of our team members in the reception room and then go directly to your treatment room.

Please leave your gloves in your car

In order to minimize cross-contamination, we ask that you do not enter with your gloves. We will have you wash your hands before your treatment begins.

You may not recognize us right away

We will be wearing N95 and level 3 masks covering our smiles. We will also frequently be wearing surgical caps when we greet you. This is all to protect our wonderful patients and team. Safety and care are our top priorities!

Front Desk Masks and Your Masks

Our friendly administrative team will be wearing level 3 masks and if you don’t have a mask, you will be given one when you arrive.

CDC Approved Instrument Sterilization

This has always been our standard procedure at all times! Dr. Huckabay has always implemented the highest standards that exceed the recommendations.

Cleaning After Every Appointment

We throughly wipe, sanitize and disinfect all instruments, equipment and surfaces in each operatory after every patient.

Pre-Screening of Every Patient

A quick health questionnaire and consent form along with a no-touch temperature check will be completed when you arrive at our office.

Sequenced Patient Scheduling

We will not be seeing as many patients in order to keep you as safe as possible. We are allocating more time between visits for cleaning. At this time we will not be using the reception area or providing magazines for our patients.

Daily Health Checks of Our Team

No contact temperature checks and a quick set of questions will ensure our team is ready, willing and able to provide safe dental care every day.

Handshakes and Hugs

We do love our patients. However, we will revert to smiles instead of handshakes and hugs….for now.

Installed Clear Barriers

Hard plastic guards have been placed strategically throughout the practice to help block the movement of airborne particles.

Work Clothes are Changed at Work

In the past, you might have seen us on our errands in our scrubs. Now we change out of out of our scrubs before we return home in an effort to provide safety for our patients and family.
